Why join us?

While volunteering with us, you can make new friends of the same age with a similar passion or do something meaningful to help and give back to society. In addition, we are mostly student-led, so the planning team will care for you!

"Kids Learn Code is a really good group-up organisation and has its heart and mission on track."

~Evelyn Seah (Core Team)

Kids Learn Code is a place where you can meet like-minded people and share your coding skills with others who are interested in learning

~Alistair Tan (Core Team)

I have a very busy schedule. After I sign up for a Volunteering Opportunity, how many meetings must I participate in?

Normally, if you register for a volunteering opportunity, there will be 1-2 training sessions to allow you to understand your job scope as well as to impart you with the necessary skills. For Own-Time-Own-Target tasks (e.g. Creation of Materials), there will only be a briefing session online before you do it in your own time and submit it before the due date.

What sort of volunteering opportunities can I participate in?

In Kids Learn Code, there will be a range of workshops and opportunities.

Can I withdraw from the program at any time?

In Kids Learn Code, volunteers are encouraged to attend one or two opportunities yearly. However, we understand that some opportunities may not be suitable or you may not have the time to participate in them. If that is the case, you can either ignore the emails (you are not "forced" to take part in the workshops; no commitment is required), or request to have your information deleted from our system by emailing us at

What is the difference between being a Volunteer and a member of the Core Team?

In Kids Learn Code, volunteer team members are given many different tasks to participate in, according to their own schedule, with no commitments. However, Core Team volunteers are expected to complete more and take part in more planning-related tasks with a fixed schedule and number of assigned tasks.

I want to join Kids Learn Code as a Core Team member. How can I do so?

If you are keen to do so, do email us at with the following:

My school is interested in Kids Learn Code giving a talk on volunteering/I am interested in enrolling my school students in volunteering with Kids Learn Code; what can I do?

We thank you for your enthusiasm and will try to accommodate your request as much as possible. Do email us with the details at  and let us know at least 2 weeks before the preferred engagement date.
